1.Palpable (adjective) : स्पर्शनीय
Meaning: (of a feeling or atmosphere) so intense as to seem almost tangible.
Synonyms: perceptible, perceivable, visible, noticeable,
appreciable, discernible, detectable, observable, tangible,
recognizable, notable, unmistakable, transparent.
Example: “For all the killing and beheading they do on the LoC
(Line of Control), we thrashed them so badly on the cricket field
yesterday,” my Uber driver told me, with a palpable tinge of pride in
his voice, the morning after the Indian cricket team won the ICC

2.Moratorium (noun) : अधिस्थगन
Meaning: a temporary prohibition of an activity.
Synonyms: embargo, ban, prohibition, suspension, postponement,
stay, stoppage, halt, freeze, standstill, respite, hiatus, delay,
deferment, deferral, adjournment.
Example: After the GEAC approved Bt brinjal for commercial
production, the then Environment Minister, Jairam Ramesh, placed a
moratorium after undertaking extensive public consultation.
3.Havoc (noun) : नाश
Meaning: widespread destruction.
Synonyms: devastation, destruction, damage, desolation,
depredation, despoliation, ruination, ruin, disaster, ravagement, waste,
catastrophe.
Example: The widespread havoc that chemical pesticides and
fertilizers have caused since the Green Revolution only adds credence
to these concerns.
4.Undecipherable (adjective) : अपाठ्य
Meaning: (of speech or writing) not able to be read or understood.
Synonyms: illegible, unreadable, hard to read, indistinguishable, indiscernible, unclear, indistinct
Example: The leaders are unrecognisable, and specific causes undecipherable.
5.Imbroglio (noun) : उलझन
Meaning: an extremely confused, complicated, or embarrassing situation.
Synonyms: complicated situation, complication, complexity, problem, difficulty,
predicament, plight, trouble, entanglement, confusion, muddle, mess, quandary, dilemma.
Example: Consequently, the refrain of external instigation and
Pakistan’s role is inadequate to explain the current imbroglio. Urging
the security forces to exercise restraint and avoid collateral damage
during operations also makes little sense.
6.Collateral (noun) : संपार्श्विक
Meaning: something pledged as security for repayment of a loan, to be forfeited in the
event of a default.
Synonyms: security, surety, guarantee, guaranty, pledge, bond, assurance, insurance, indemnity, indemnification.
Example: Urging the security forces to exercise restraint and
avoid collateral damage during operations also makes little sense. The
issues are far deeper than urging all stakeholders to allay the
apprehensions and misgivings of the Kashmir youth. Something very
different has occurred and something new needs to be attempted.
7.Biblical (adjective) : बाइबिल से संबंधित
Meaning: relating to or contained in the Bible.
Example: THE earliest known description of surrogacy is an ugly
biblical story: in Genesis, the childless Sara sends her husband to bed
with her maidservant, Hagar, and takes the child as her own.
8.Impetuousness (adjective) : उग्रता
Meaning: Acting or done quickly with little or inadequate thought.
Synonyms: impetuous, hasty, headlong, precipitate
Example: DONALD TRUMP rules over Washington as if he were a king
and the White House his court. His displays of dominance, his need to be
the centre of attention and his impetuousness have a whiff of Henry
VIII about them.
9.Orthodoxy (noun) : रूढ़िवादिता
Meaning: authorized or generally accepted theory, doctrine, or practice.
Synonyms: doctrine, belief, conviction, creed, dogma, credo,
theory, view, idea, tenet, teaching, practice, received wisdom, article
of faith.
Example: Just as dangerous, and no less important to ordinary
Americans, however, is Mr Trump’s plan for the economy. It treats
orthodoxy, accuracy and consistency as if they were simply to be
negotiated away in a series of earth-shattering deals.
10.Compliance (noun) : अनुपालन
Meaning: the action or fact of complying with a wish or command.
Example: But why are they doing this? It surely can’t be that
they are celebrating the roll-out of the new indirect tax regime. By all
accounts, most companies are quaking, fearing the huge increase in
compliance costs and paperwork that GST will bring.
